Here’s another way to look at it…
Look at the colored cube shown. The center of the cube has a broad spectrum of white with many tiles of different whites. But white may look white to you until you place it side-by-side with another kind of white. As there are many colors of white in the color cube, paint samples are another example of multiple whites, just ask your spouse. Same thing with gum removal, what is under that splat of gum is what the color your concrete used to be, years ago probably, “chewing gum is the only thing keeping little bits of (your) sidewalk ageless.” The light mark is not discoloration caused so much by gum residue, but the protection from the elements that the splat of gum has provided. Your sidewalks and entrances will be more sanitary and better looking, more than ever, now that the ugly gum splats and grime is removed. |
